Red Alert was praised for its user interface, which claimed to be more developed than the competing games of its time. Players could queue commands, create unit groups that could be selected by a number key, and control numerous units at a time. The game was known to be easy to control, simple to learn and responsive to users commands. It also featured two factions that had differing styles of play. Red Alert is also hailed as one of the first games to feature competitive online play. The single player campaign also received high praise for its detailed story line and missions which often required the player to defeat the enemy with various sets of circumstances before continuing. The single player campaign was also complemented by live action cinematic sequences that are a feature of all Command & Conquer RTS games since the original, except for Command and Conquer: Generals.

How to build and run a successful University is several not so easy steps.

The gameplay is nothing new, it is the same basic, build it and keep them happy with goodies formula used in just about every tycoon game to date. The slight twist on the formula is the need to build structures in a certain order to unlock other buildings/items/student types to complete mission goals. This adds some depth to the strategy of a game that is seriously lacking in the strategy department. Other than that the basic strategy is keeping the students happy by keeping things balanced between parties (bonfires, home coming dance, naked beer runs, etc..), food, beer,s9x and of course learning. Unfortunately there are no special tricks or strategies to win the missions in the campaign mode, and once you get through the first few goals with some trial and error the rest of the game is pretty easy, because the style of gameplay needed to complete the missions doesn?t change much. I really wish I could give you more insight into the general gameplay, but there is nothing new here, same old same old for the tycoon genre. I honestly wish there were more to tell, but if you have even watched someone play a tycoon game you know what it looks like to play National Lampoon's University Tycoon.

World of Goo is a physics based puzzle / construction game. The millions of Goo Balls that live in the beautiful World of Goo don't know that they are in a game ... or that they are extremely delicious. You take control of these goo balls (many of which feature different abilities), pick them up and connect them together in order to construct jiggly architecture -- bridges, straightaways, makeshift high-rises, even -- so that you might lead other goo balls to an exit situated on one end of every stage. This is an awesome game, and not very expensive.
